The First Family

Franks Family with Momma Ellis
Elder Jesse Franks, Jr. was baptized in Jesus' name in August 1979 at Refuge Apostolic Church in San Diego. He received the Holy Ghost on October 11, 1980 at Greater Apostolic Faith Temple Church in San Diego. As a member there, he became a Sunday School scholar.

After studying to show himself approved unto God, he was elevated to the position of teaching junior high Sunday School Day and adult Vacation Bible School students. God was not finished blessing Bro. Franks. He was also Sunday School Day Coordinator, Vice-president of the PYPU, Deacon and later, God called him to the Ministry.

On one Sunday evening in July 1989, Minister Franks was given the opportunity to preach his very first message entitled Morning Joy at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Michigan.

The Lord led Elder Franks to fellowship with Elder Donnie McGriff at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in July 1991. In a month's time the Lord restored his daughter and his 13 year-old son (J.T.) received the Holy Ghost. After returning to Greater Apostolic Faith temple Church, the Lord told him to be a help to Elder Anthony Williams, who was starting Truth Apostolic Community Church.

At Truth Elder Franks received his State and National Licenses. He was the Assistant to the Pastor, a board member, Sunday School Superintendent, President of the District Sunday School and head Deacon. Pastor Williams always told him that he was in training.

While attending a seminar at the Praise Power Celebration May 1996, Elder Darnell Dixon laid hands on Elder Franks and confirmed what God had placed on his heart. The training period was over and it was time to pastor a church; thus, Immanuel Temple was born.
